A downloadable game

Have you ever found yourself procrastinating when drawing a map? Well my lazy cartographer friend this here game will fix all of that in 12 words!

Made for the 12-word RPG Jam this is a nano-game, if you follow the instructions you should get rewarded with a lovely simplistic map that you can embellish to your heart's desire

Unless of course you procrastinate making the map and just end up with an overwhelming feeling of guilt and emptiness that finds it's way into your every thought...

But you wont do that... right?

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Author's Note: This is my very first analogue/nano game and I am actually quite happy with how it came out, a very very long time ago I heard of the technique of drawing map outlines using scattered die and I just kept using it since! As an avid rpg player I enjoy drawing tiny miny maps and imagining amazing and fantastical magical worlds, although this game can be used to make all sorts of themed maps. I find that the 12 word limit, although pretty limiting, made for a fun challenge, every word on the paper counts and was carefully thought out and I think that's pretty cool.

(ps. yes, I am aware that the map I made looks slightly phallic, not the intention but I'm not mad about it either, happy little accidents  :3  )

I love this so much, and honestly it's a LOT like exactly what I need for a game I wanted to create myself! That's inspiring me to get off my butt and get back on my butt over at my desk so I can make it :D

Also "happy little accidents" omg 🤣🤣🤣

Seriously though, this is great!

"12 words for a not longer than 12 seconds procedure that gives you a map. The most important is probably that the tool is fun to use, but it is also heavily combinable. You could plug random tables on each die and tweak the context for different settings.

Another idea is to zoom in (the shape representing a biome or a city), and zoom out (each die becoming a planet instead). Last but not least, I like the presentation, minimalist, clean and functional: the die in perspective gives its perspective to the map."

I wrote this review in my selection of 12-word RPG where your game is featured by the way.

A brilliant concept and fabulous execution.

I love the mood pieces and poetry in some 12-word RPGs, but an immensely usable and useful tool is a wonderful find!

A great map drawing game! Love the use of multiple dice types!

Thank you so much! I am a huge dice hoarder so I just had to bring in a few from my collection ^-^

Hell, this is such a good idea, easy to understand and put into action. I love the examples and how they were incorporated into the layout. Well done!

Thank youu! I was kind of scared that with so few words it wouldn't be too straight forward, I'm glad you liked it ^-^
